getting on board the better way
Customer request:
The narrow bow from this sailing yacht did not have enough space for a secure step on board. Also the two sheets from the bow roller are dangerours to step on when wet.
Implementation:
A small bowsprit was made that has on one side enough space for a secure step on board and on the other side the excisting bow roller was now welded to the plate. The anchor fitting is working even better and later on there can be fitted a bow ladder to fit the anchor.
New Anchor and holder for motorboat
Customer request: The existing anchor holder was too small and not been made for a safe storage of an anchor with the correct size and weight for this kind of motorboat. Requested was also a bow ladder for an easy access to the boat from the jetty.
Implementation: At first we produced a strong, solid anchor holder to keep a sufficient size anchor, which allows anchoring even in stronger winds. A fitted bow ladder was also manufactured. This ladder is simple to hook into the anchor and easy to stow away after usage.
With this new anchor holder we now have the correct distance and extension angle from the winch to the anchor. No more heavy hauling by hand is required; the anchor can be easily lifted up with help of the winch.
Rear swimming platform
Customer request: The existing rear swimming platform was too small and the attached ladder was insecure. Also, from the water the ladder couldn’t be unfastened.
Implementation: The ship was on-site and so the new swimming platform could be adapted to the rear outline. The customer wanted to prepare the wooden part for the platform himself, so the mounting plates here fore have been welded onto the frame.
A boarding ladder with 3 steps, which goes deep enough into the water to be comfortable, had been produced. The ladder will be secured with an extra fitting on the top of it. This safety clip did get an extra rope which is long enough to reach the water, so it´s easy to trigger the release of the ladder.
An extra step had been welded onto the platform, easy access is now granted.
Stern protector
Customer request: The anchor was prone to hit the stern of the yacht when being lifted which caused damage to the paintwork.
Realisation: A tapered plate taking up the shape of the existing fitting was manufactured. The plate was attached with glue as the ship has a steel hull.
Bow ladder special
Customer request: With a hull height of 1.5 metres above sea level it was nearly impossible for the owners to come on board from a floating dock or the skerries.
Realisation: Using the padeye, which was already mounted, we built a ladder which also has the possibility to use an extra tube to hold on while climbing up since the pulpit is standing far behind the bow.
Collision damage Bavaria 320
Customer request: The original bow fitting should be made exactly like it was as well as the pulpit so that the bow ladder and the teak plate from customer can be fitted in again
Realisation: The yacht was in our harbour during production process so that we could fit each part accurate to the yacht in between production. Only the forestay fitting was changed now as a separate fitting on the bow since it is not allowed to be welded to the fitting any more.
Motorboat anchor fitting and bow step
Customer request: For anchoring during the night the new, stronger anchor, could not fit into the anchor locker and pulling the anchor over the pulpit was very uncomfortable. To step on board from the bridge a higher step was required
Realisation: The pulpit received an extra bow with an integrated anchor fitting. At the same time two bows for teak plates came in.
