Cookies

Cookies are unique identifiers that we transfer to your device to enable our systems to recognize your device and to provide features such as 1-Click purchasing, Recommended for You, personalized advertisements on other Web sites and storage of items in your Shopping Cart between visits.

The Help feature on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. Because cookies allow you to take advantage of some of www.niro-petersen.de’s essential features, we recommend you to leave cookies turned on. Google Analytics

We use the analytics tool “Google Analytics” on our website in order to record and evaluate statistics regarding the use of our website and to continuously improve our offer on the basis of the results.

Google Analytics also uses cookies. The information about your use of our website obtained via the cookie is transferred to and stored on a Google server in the USA.

Google uses the information recorded in the cookies on our behalf in order to evaluate your use of our website. In this way we can, for example, compile reports about website activity and identify which pages are particularly accessed the most, where the access originates from and how long visitors spend on the pages. Pseudonymised user profiles can be created for the user from the processed data.

We only use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation activated. This means that your IP address is truncated by Google. IP addresses are already usually truncated in Europe. Only in exceptional circumstances will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.

To the best of our knowledge, the IP address sent by your browser is not consolidated with any other data by Google. If you do not wish Google to collect and use your cookies, you have the following options:

You can prevent the storage of cookies using the appropriate settings on your browser software.

You can also prevent Google from collecting the data created by the cookies and relating to your use of the website and you can prevent Google from processing such data by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB.

My Security

We have in place appropriate technical and security measures to prevent unauthorized or unlawful access to or accidental loss of or destruction or damage to your information. When we collect data through the Site, we collect your personal details on a secure server. We use firewalls on our servers. When we collect payment card details electronically, we use encryption by using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) coding. Whilst we are unable to guarantee 100% security, this makes it hard for a hacker to decrypt your details. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in connection with the collection, storage and disclosure of your information. Our security procedures mean that we may occasionally request proof of identity before we disclose personal information to you.

We reveal only the last four digits of your credit card numbers when confirming an order. Of course, we transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing. It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer.

with a clear declaration (e.g. via post, fax or email) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the withdrawal template provided by us, but this is not mandatory. You can print out the withdrawal template below. In order to uphold the withdrawal deadline, it is the timely dispatch of your declaration that counts.

Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall refund all payments already made by you, including delivery costs (with the exception of additional costs arising from you selecting a more expensive delivery option that our cheapest standard delivery option), within fourteen days from the day we received your declaration of withdrawal. For this refund, we will use the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless otherwise expressly agreed with you. You will not be charged for this refund. We may refuse to refund payments until we have received the returned wares or until you have provided sufficient proof that you have dispatched the wares, whichever is earlier. You must return or transfer the wares to the above address within fourteen days of submitting your declaration of withdrawal. This deadline shall be considered honoured as long as you dispatch the wares by the end of the deadline. We shall bear the costs to return the wares. You must only cover costs relating to a product’s loss of value if this can be traced back to you handling the goods further to what is necessary to ascertain the wares’ quality, attributes and functions.
